Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) To determine the description of the influence of the use of digital learning media based on the Scratch application on fourth grade students,(2) To determine the description of the learning interests of fourth grade students,(3) To determine the effect of the use of digital learning media based on the Scratch application to increase students' learning interests. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research design used is a nonequivalent control group design. The independent variable of this study is the use of digital learning media based on the Scratch application and the dependent variable is students' learning interests. This study uses two classes as samples, namely the experimental class (IV A) with 20 students and the control class (IV B) with 20 students, the sampling technique used in the study is purposive sampling. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. The data collection procedures, including a pretest questionnaire, treatment administration, and posttest questionnaire, were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 30. The results of this study indicate that:(1) The use of Scratch-based digital learning media has increased from the effective category to very effective,(2) Student learning interest after using Scratch-based digital learning media has increased from the interested category to the very interested category,(3) The use of Scratch-based digital learning media has an effect on increasing student learning interest. The probability value obtained from the results of the hypothesis test analysis is less than 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that in this study, the use of Scratch-based digital learning media has an effect on increasing the learning interest of fourth-grade students at the UPT SPF SDN Inpres Cambaya 1 Ujung Tanah.
